Below is an article that appeared in a midwest magazine:
"Burrito Union 10-hour Tri, Ultra Endurance Race or a 10 hour Party?"
If you are planning on participating in the 2nd annual Burrito Union 10-hour tri at Pattison State Park Wisconsin, you better bring your swim suit, bike and run stuff as well as your grill, cooler and lawn chair; this race is a party!
Here's how it works. The triathlon consists of a 600M swim, 14 mile bike and a 3.1 mile run. The person or team that does the most triathlons in the in 10 hours wins. You can do the race solo, as a 2-person relay, or 3-person relay.
Co-race director, Rod Raymond says, "The BU 10-hour is for partiers with an exercise problem! We'll have a hot tub on the beach, karaoke, open mic w/ guitar and bongos, and great food and beverages. Last year we had some teams do one triathlon, then stoke up the grill and cheer the rest of the day. It was hilarious! So while your teammates are out pounding it out on the bike, you could be behind the microphone singing ‘Blowin in the wind.'"
Co-race director Clayton Keim states that, "while this race is fun and laid back, the organization is top notch. We have a great timing crew, water safety team, road officials, great give-aways and hand crafted awards. This is top course with a down home crowd. You will leave different than you were when you arrived!"
If you are looking for a unique experience, rustle up some other crazy and whacky friends and check out the Burrito Union 10-hour triathlon on Sept 6, 2008.

The Brewhouse Triathlon was noted by American Tri magazine as one of the top 100 triathlons in America - with 600+ participants! The Brewhouse swim is held in a beautiful spring-fed lake. The swim course is a clock-wise triangle. The transition area is staged in a large parking area with a blacktop surface. The bike course consists of two, clock-wise laps (one lap for short course) around Pike Lake and the neighboring countryside. The roads consist of intermittent sections of older and newer pavement, with gently rolling hills throughout the course. The race finishes with an out and back 5 mile run (2.5 miles for short course) on gently rolling blacktop roads with plenty of aid stations. This race is chip-timed.
