BREWHOUSE TRIATHLON AUGUST 1st, 2015
As the 8th race in the Midwest Multisport Series (MMS), the Brewhouse is one of Minnesota’s oldest and most popular triathlons. Located at the newly developed Island Lake Park, the pristine swim is followed by a beautiful bike on newly paved roads, and the flat and fast run combines asphalt and gravel roads with plenty of aid stations. Start training…this is a great race for those who want a world class racing experience!
The Minnesota Power Picnic Area has been a favorite summertime spot on Island Lake for decades. The beauty of the pines, which line the banks of Island Lake, the sandy beach, clean water, and the down-to- earth people who run the Island Lake Inn across from the picnic area make it a truly special place. The Island Lake Inn is open daily and is famous for its giant draft beers and its fresh grilled hamburgers and brats. Could be smart to schedule some training time or a little course recon ahead of the race, ending in a stop at the Inn!
Course Distances: The short course is 0.5 miles / 12.4 miles / 3.1 miles (swim bike run) and the long course is 0.93 miles / 24.8 miles / 6.2 miles.
