You still must have open water swimming skills and the fitness to swim the distance. We do not offer this wave for the long course. If you feel your swimming skills are not good enough to swim the long course, we will change you to the short course.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE 700 ATHLETES SWIMMING AND OUR LIFEGUARDS NEED TO WATCH ALL OF THEM.
If the lifeguard feels you are unable to finish the swim, they will pull you from the water and bring you to safety. The lifeguards and rescue squad are the final authority on this decision.

TRANSITION/FINISH AREA:

  • *Helmets must be strapped before exiting the transition area.
  • *No biking in transition area (both feet must remain on ground).
  • *Only athletes are allowed in the transition area.
  • *Be considerate of other athletes’ space.
